Birth by Sleep: The only one of Master Eraqus's pupils to have been recognized as a true Keyblade Master. A healthy rivalry and close friendship bind her and her training mates Terra and Ven together. Her orders: to bring the Unversed situation under control, and to keep an eye on Terra.

She is very concerned about Terra, as well as Ventus, who ran away from home to find him.

Dream Drop Distance: One of three Keyblade wielders who played a pivotal role in a historic clash more than a dozen years ago. To save a friend, she cast herself into the realm of darkness, never to be seen again.

On the Surface

Aqua is a calm, collected and mature person. She is more often than not serious and responsible, but that certainly does not mean she can't have a good laugh and enjoy spending time with her friends! She is also very kind and caring and will do anything to protect those in need, especially her friends. Aqua is the type of person that would put everyone before herself. If there is anything she can do to help out, she will do it without thinking twice. Aqua is also extremely sensitive to others' feelings. She takes pleasure in seeing other people smile and being happy. The reverse is also true: if she sees others unhappy, she is unhappy too.

Though far from cocky, Aqua is quite confident in her fighting abilities. She is strong-willed and determined to carry out whatever responsibilities that she feels she shoulders. Her true power comes from her strong bonds with her friends and she draws strength from her relationships with Terra and Ventus.

Aqua has a tendency to be too naive and often sees things in black and white rather than in shades of gray. This trait of hers causes her to struggle with the concepts of light/dark and good/evil throughout the game.

→ Aqua is one of three pupils of Master Eraqus.

→ Aqua is one of the two playable characters in all the games who become a Keyblade Master (Riku being the second).

→ Rainfell and Stormfall, as well as most of her exclusive Keychains, all have a water theme.

→ Aqua creates Wayfinders for herself, Terra and Ventus based on the shape of a Paopu Fruit. They serve as good luck charms that will always tie them together.

→ Aqua accidentally passes on the ability to wield a Keyblade to Kairi when she protects her in Radiant Garden.

→ Aqua has been wandering in the Realm of Darkness for at least ten years since she sacrificed herself to save Terra. She has not aged at all while down there.

→ Xemnas has Aqua's armor and Stormfall locked away in a secret chamber under Radiant Garden. He goes to talk to it often and refers to it as "my friend." Xigbar claims that he once heard another voice respond to Xemnas.

→ Aqua's final hair design was altered from the original promotional artwork for Birth by Sleep.
